Sennheiser HD 650 Open Back Professional Headphone

Updated On: 3 Dec 2019

Sitting at home listening to the most wonderful tracks on your stereo equipment, but because the speaker isn't set is surround your missing out? The Sennheiser HD 650 professional headphones provide exquisite sound from a company that has provided the best headphones for decades.

Improved Distortions and Sound

The specially designed acoustic silk helps reduce distortion to an amazing 0.05%. Higher powered, the neodymium magnets assist in delivering maximum efficiency and rich sound. With improved frequency response at 10-39,500 hertz, it immerses you in the quality sounds of your chosen tracks.

Lightweight and Long cord

With lighter aluminum voice coils for a transient response, it makes the overall weight lighter sitting it at a little over half a pound.  The cord reaches at least 9.5 ft, giving you the ability to move and shake or plugin and lounge.  The cord itself is made from copper reinforced by Kevlar to aide in the life of the cord, reducing pinching and trapping damage. The Kevlar also helps reduce that annoying handling noise when the cord is moved.

Sennheiser

The company which makes these defiant headphones has been providing the masses with real options in audio headphones for sixty years. Their mission is to bring only the best sounds from the artists to your headphones.

Does it work on my phone?

Though it does include a jack that would fit your phone it would waste the headphone's abilities as phones don't typically have extremely high-quality sounds. Working with an amp and high-end stereo equipment would be a better use for the open-backed headphones.

Cons

Because they are open-backed, public use is not as private as you would get with closed-back or in-ear options. Meaning the person standing next to you on the subway can hear your opera music. They are also not inexpensive with typical retail at close to $500. Of course, there is also the problem that they are not noise-canceling and corded.

For quality sound in a private environment with high-end equipment, there is no better headphone than the Sennheiser HD 650 Professional Headphone.
